Danish motorways free. Two bridges charge cars: Storebaeltsbroen 205 DKK BroBizz / 235 DKK cash (Sjaelland-Funen), Oresund 520 DKK booth / 465 DKK online / 182 DKK OresundGO. Other bridges (Lillebaelt, Frederik IX, Marys) free. No vignette.
Current toll-road overview
Denmark has no motorway toll for cars, no vignette and no city-centre road pricing. The whole E20, E45, E47 and E55 corridor, plus the rest of the road network, is funded from general taxation and free at the point of use. Charges only exist on two specific bridges: the Storebaeltsbroen across the Great Belt between Sjaelland and Funen, and the international Oresund Bridge to Sweden. Every other bridge in the country (Lillebaelt, Frederik IX, Kronprinsesse Marys Bro and all the smaller crossings) is free.
The Storebaelt prices rose modestly on 1 January 2026 in line with the Danish CPI: the Express tariff went from 201 to 205 DKK for a passenger car 3-6 m long, while the Cash or card tariff at the booth rose to 235 DKK. The Oresund tariffs were updated on 18 May 2026 and now stand at 520 DKK at the booth, 465 DKK online or 182 DKK with an OresundGO subscription. Both bridges accept Danish, Norwegian and Swedish electronic tags via the BroBizz / OresundPay network.

Payment methods
At the Storebaeltsbroen you have two real choices. The Express lane uses your BroBizz or OresundPay transponder, or simply reads your number plate if you registered it with one of the providers; payment is debited automatically and the Express price applies. The Cash / card lane is the manned booth where you pay 30 DKK more in cash (DKK, EUR, SEK, NOK, USD) or by card. New for 2026: any approved tag or registered plate now gives the Express price, with no need for a separate Storebaelt Private Agreement.
At the Oresund Bridge three prices apply: the highest at the booth (520 DKK), a discount with an online ticket bought in advance via oresundsbron.com (465 DKK), and the lowest with an OresundGO subscription (182 DKK per trip plus 370 DKK per year). BroBizz tags are also accepted. Cash in DKK, SEK, EUR or USD and major cards work without trouble.
Foreign drivers
EU and EFTA driving licences are valid; non-EU drivers should carry an International Driving Permit. There is no decal or vignette to buy, and no advance registration is needed: simply drive up to the booth or use any approved BroBizz / OresundPay tag. Foreign credit and debit cards work fine at both bridges. Coming from Germany, the first toll point is the Oresund Bridge between Copenhagen and Malmo (if you cross to Sweden) or the Storebaelt if you continue from Jutland to Sjaelland via the E20.
Looking ahead, the Femern Belt Fixed Link under construction between Roedby (Lolland) and Puttgarden (Germany) is expected to open around 2029. It will replace the Scandlines ferry on the shortest route from Hamburg to Copenhagen and will charge a toll managed by Sund og Baelt, interoperable with BroBizz.
