Refuelling strategy for visitors

The single best move in Finland is to refuel at an ABC station with S-group member card (3-5 cents per litre below pump) or at K-rauta/S-market hypermarket stations. VT1, VT3 and VT4 service areas carry small markups; nearby town stations are typically cheaper. Crossing to Sweden at Tornio: fill on the Swedish side, 30+ cents per litre cheaper than Finland. From October to April, ensure diesel is rated for Finnish winter cold (Winter or Arctic grade - standard at all Finnish stations).

LPG and AdBlue

AdBlue
