Holidays in France
Largely accessible

Tourist accommodation allowed
Yes. Please note: very soon a vaccination or recovery certificate will be required when visiting shops, restaurants, public transport, etc. The exact starting date is not yet known

Corona pass
Yes, vaccination, recovery certificate or negative test necessary for everyone aged 12 years and older

Requirements vaccination certificate
Valid from 7 days after the second dose of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca. The vaccination certificate for people over 18 is valid for a maximum of 7 months after the second shot.

Janssen: valid from 28 days until a maximum of 2 months after the first shot.

When your vaccination certificate is no longer valid you can still travel into France, but a booster vaccine or negative test result will be needed to visit restaurants, cinemas, museums, etc.

Requirements for proof of recovery
Valid from 11 to 180 days after positive PCR test

Test proof requirements
Valid are a PCR test or rapid antigen test of a maximum of 24 hours old

Face mask
Mandatory in public transport, ski lifts, public courtyards, certain city centers, shops and markets for everyone of 6 years and older

Other documents
A written sworn statement that you do not show any corona-related symptoms. With this you also give permission for a possible PCR or Antigen test if the French authorities deem it necessary.

A health certificate is required for air travel

Shops
Yes. Please note: From January 15, it may become mandatory to show a vaccination or recovery certificate when visiting shops, restaurants, public transport, etc.

Restaurants and cafes
Open. Vaccination, recovery certificate or negative test* (corona pass) mandatory for everyone from 12 years and 2 months. A fixed seat is mandatory. Test locations in France.

Nightclubs and discotheques
Closed. At least until 24 January 2022.

Museums, theaters and attractions
