Holidays in Germany
Limited access

Tourist accommodation allowed
Yes

Travelers without a vaccination or recovery certificate will enter the country with a negative test certificate, but will then have to quarantine for 10 days if they stay longer than 24 hours. The quarantine can be ended with a negative test after 5 days. For children under 12 years of age, the quarantine always lasts 5 days. They don’t need a test to finish this one

Corona certificate required
Yes, vaccination, recovery certificate or negative test necessary for everyone aged 6 years and older

Requirements vaccination certificate
Valid from 14 days after the second dose of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, after the first dose of Janssen or after booster vaccination.

Requirements for proof of recovery
Valid from 28 to 180 days after positive PCR test

Test proof requirements
Valid are a PCR test or antigen test of up to 48 hours old

Face mask
A medical mask (in some states FFP2 mask) is mandatory in various public places and on public transport for everyone aged 7 and older

Other documents
Travelers who stay longer than 24 hours in Germany and/ spend the night here must complete an entry form from 21 November. A health certificate is required for air travel.

Open. Vaccination or recovery certificate (corona certificate) necessary. In some federal states a negative test certificate (PCR test up to 48 hours old, antigen test up to 24 hours old) or a booster vaccination is also required. Restaurants and cafes
Open. The 2G-plus policy does apply, which means that in addition to showing a vaccination and recovery certificate (corona proof), a corona test (PCR test up to 48 hours old, antigen test up to 24 hours old) is also mandatory. The test obligation does not apply to people who have had a booster shot.

Nightclubs and discotheques
Closed.
